The warranty
A frame warranty written for riders instead of lawyers. Short, plain, and it survives us.
Covered
Any failure of the frame or fork that comes from materials or our work, for as long as the original owner rides it. There is no end date. A cracked lug in year nineteen is covered the same as year one.
What happens
Bring or send the frame back. We inspect it, tell you honestly what we found, and repair or replace it. Repairs happen on the same bench the frame was born on. Replacements go to the front of the queue, which is the only queue-jumping we permit.
Not covered, and we say so plainly
- Crash damage. We will quote the repair at cost and prioritize it; we will not pretend it was the metal's fault.
- Wear items: paint patina, decals, bushings, anything with a service interval.
- Second owners, for the lifetime term. A second owner gets a twelve-month workshop warranty from their purchase date, which is what the pre-owned ledger states.
The transfer note
When a Rivet & Road frame changes hands, send us the frame number and the new owner's name and we will note it in the ledger. The warranty term changes as above, but the frame's history stays complete, which is worth more than the paperwork.
This is the warranty policy of a fictional workshop on a demonstration site. Nothing here binds anyone; no frames exist.
