# Rivet & Road Fictional custom steel bicycle workshop in Bexley Junction, est. 2009. A portfolio design study by the site's author. Every business, price, person, tour and frame number is invented. ## Purpose Static multi-page site demonstrating a vintage cycling-poster design identity: cream poster paper, racing green and rosso corsa accents, Bodoni Moda display against Albert Sans body, both self-hosted WOFF2. ## Design system - OKLCH tokens throughout, day theme default plus a "night ride" dark theme persisted to localStorage key rr-theme (the only stored value). - Motion signature: spokes-and-speedlines. SVG wheels spin on ambient timers, speed up while you scroll, and spin madly on the R key. Speedlines sweep model cards on entry. Wheel rim rotation and chain dash offsets respond to scroll distance. prefers-reduced-motion honored everywhere. - Scroll-driven CSS (animation-timeline: view()) with an IntersectionObserver fallback for reveals and staggers. - View transitions between pages (rr-out / rr-in). - WCAG 2.2 AA: skip links, focus-visible, contrast, keyboard FAQ, labelled forms with live error messages. ## Interactivity policy All forms are demonstrations with no backend. Nothing is sent, stored or shared, and nobody is contacted from this site. No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. The only client-side storage is the theme key. ## Structure - / index, model book /bicycles/ with five model detail pages - /fitting /workshop /colours /frames /tours /heritage /apparel - /journal with two posts, /visit /faq /contact /privacy /terms /404 ## Facts (fictional) Address 14 Foundry Lane, Bexley Junction.
